About our Waikato sector discounts
We support a wide range of Waikato education providers, industries and community groups through special sector discounts on first aid courses. We understand the importance of having people in these sectors first aid trained and support you through cost-effective first aid training. You can find information about our sector discounts and eligibility criteria below – just click on the sector you are affiliated with.
To access our sector discounts just select your sector in our course booking form and provide some sector-specific information so we can verify that you are eligible. If none of these sectors apply you are still eligible for our early payment discount, which is automatically applied to all bookings.
Our sectors
Early Childhood Education (ECE)
If you are associated with a childcare centre or Kōhanga Reo, you are eligible for our Early Childhood Education (ECE) Sector discount. With our sector and early payment discounts the Workplace First Aider course fee reduces to $160.
In recognition of the great importance for people in early childhood education to be first aid trained we support the sector through cost-effective first aid training. The Early Childhood Education (ECE) Sector discount applies to our Workplace First Aider course, which meets NZQA, WorkSafe, and Ministry of Education requirements for most industries and workplace. We also offer cost effective First Aid Revalidation and private group course.

Home-based Childcare
If you are a home-based childcare educator or provide home childcare services, you are eligible for our Home-based Childcare Sector discount. With our sector and early payment discounts the Foundation First Aid and Workplace First Aider course fees reduce to $125.
We understand that your transition to the new first aid training requirements is challenging, so we are supporting you by offering our Foundation First Aid (NZQA unit standards 6402 and 6401) and Workplace First Aider (NZQA unit standards 6402, 6401 and 6400) courses for a heavily discounted course fee. These courses meet NZQA, WorkSafe, and Ministry of Education requirements for your industry. We also offer cost effective First Aid Revalidation and private group courses.

Schools
We support safe school environments by discounting course fees for teachers, other school staff and students. If you are associated with a primary, intermediate, or high school, Kura Kaupapa Māori, Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (formerly The Correspondence School), a Teen Parenting Unit (TPU), are home schooling or working in a support role at a boarding school, you are probably eligible for our Schools Sector discount. With our sector and early payment discounts the Workplace First Aider course fee reduces to $135.
Because we know what an important role first aid training plays in providing a safe school environment for your school we offer a significant discount for teachers, other school staff and school students.

Not-for-profit (NFP)
Not-for-profit organisations play an invaluable role in our communities and in recognition we provide this discount to volunteers in the not-for-profit sector. With our sector and early payment discounts the Workplace First Aider course fee reduces to $150.
We appreciate the important role people in the not-for-profit sector play in our communities. We also know what an important role first aid training plays in providing safe communities and therefore support the sector through cost-effective first aid training.

Sport & Recreation
If you work or volunteer in the sport and recreation sector you are eligible for our Sport and Recreation Sector discount. With our sector and early payment discounts the Workplace First Aider course fee reduces to $175.
Accidents and injuries happen in sports and recreation and we know what an important role first aid training plays in providing safe sport environments. We would love to see most coaches, referees, and staff in gyms, clubs, and the professional sports sector to be first aid trained and therefore support the sector through cost-effective first aid training.

If you are a tradie, this one is for you! Whether you are a sole trader, associated with a large construction company, apprentice, or the boss, you are eligible for our Trades Sector discount. With our sector and early payment discounts the Workplace First Aider course fee reduces to $175.
We understand the value of time and money in the Trades sector and are pleased to support you by offering cost-effective first aid training and flexible course styles that require reduced time off the tools.

Tertiary
We understand that tertiary students have to budget carefully. If you are a student at a university, polytechnic or a Private Training Establishment and have a valid ID card you are eligible for our Tertiary Sector discount. With our sector and early payment discounts the Workplace First Aider course fee reduces to $135.
We’d like you to be first aid trained so that you can help your friends and family if they have a first aid emergency. We also know that many of you need to have a first aid certificate for your study or work. For these reasons we support you through reduced cost first aid training.
